Okay, to be honest, I have no idea what this guy is saying nor what he is doing running away from cops on a green screen. But that amazing (MS Paint-esque) image splice of him with his hands up every time there’s a “clap” is enough for it to deserve a post. Falco looks like he is casually jogging down a catwalk showcasing his new leather pants, not being chased by the police. But I’m really digging his casual, European vibe. As YouTube top commenter ClandestineOstrich says, “I wanna drive around Europe with this song blasting from my Skoda.”
This video would be a whole lot of fun to recreate and probably quite easy to do, seeing as people actually still dress like this in a non-ironic way.

It’s proved impossible for me to get this shot of former Philadelphia Police Cpt. Ray Lewis being arrested, published anywhere. I was adamantly rebuffed by the Philadelphia Inquirer, NYT, local NY papers, and Newsweek, before even looking at the photograph. One of the only published photos of this paradoxical and intense event is located here at the NYC Observer:

Occupy Wall Street News Round Up of the Day: MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell delivers a scathing excoriation of the criminally under-reported police brutality exhibited during last weekend’s Occupy Wall Street protests.

The footage of police officers dragging women by their hair and tackling civilians to the ground simply for holding a video camera drew the ire of Anonymous members, who have released private details about suspected pepper-spraying police officer Anthony Bologna, and have vowed to “take [the NYPD] down from the Internet” if police brutality against the protesters persists.

Meanwhile, the “99 percent” wrapped up the 11th day of their Wall Street “occupation” with some “star power” in the form of Susan Sarandon, who lent her support to the cause.

Though O’Donnell’s show is called The Last Word, Matt Taibbi, popping his Occupy Wall Street cherry in Rolling Stone, notes that this movement may be instrumental in conquering Wall Street corruption by taking the important first step toward “making people aware of the battle lines.”

While walking home from the market this morning, Terry and I found a kitten curled up in the street. It was so sad, she was so skinny and not moving or anything. I had Terry bring the food and flowers back home and bring the cat travel bag and some food and water. She was so thirsty! We brought her to the vet to see if she had a tag and to see what the options are in France. The vet was saying how she’s not sure if she were to be able to be put up for adoption, that she might die, that we wouldn’t be able to take her back if no one adopted her. It was so sad to hear these things and this kitten is so little and helpless, so we decided to keep her. The vet gave us some cat food and a food bowl (so nice of her) and we brought her home.

So, world, meet Vincent! She’s super sweet and nice, but very thin and in serious need of love. We named her Vincent because we found her next to the church we live by, Eglise Saint Vincent de Paul.

The last picture is of Fiesta, our first kitty. She’s kind of hating everything, not knowing what to do, is pissed off, etc… but I think they will grow to like each other. I hope so. If not, we need to find someone to adopt Vincent.
